I've done some serious writing at local coffee shops with the Neo. And they also attract some (positive) attention from fellow patrons, who are curious about the device and its unusual form factor.
I'm fortunate enough to have a local coffee shop that just opened, whose owner is enthusiastic about bringing my typewriters. They're even talking about hosting type-in events. I haven't featured them yet on my channel because they play background music, which is a YouTube no-no. I need to arrange a more formal interview with them.
I'm looking forward to using it. Don't know why the coffe shop is so conducive to writing. Maybe it's the ambiance. Maybe it's my imagination. Probably it's the coffee. The manager is nice enough and I hope in time she will come around to the idea of me bringing in a typewriter..
I'll bet you could arrange for the music to be muted long enough for a type-in with some interviews. If you manage to pull it off, I'd be really interested in seeing it up on the Tube.

Keep an eye open at the "computer keyboard" piles when thrifting too. I've found Alphasmart Neos as cheap as $3 on occasion lurking in the stacks.
