Mike, please use a fresher ribbon for your typecast; today's is very hard to read, as other recent ones have been.Re the SM9: if you are happy with the SM3, then continue to be happy. --- The Holy Grail is an apt metaphor, as it was never found.

contrapoint: objectively, the SM9 is the best portable typewriter ever made. I may not personally like them (SM7 fan here) enough to have kept any, I've had a few and can recognize the objective superiority of the SM9.
