Those Typestars sure have a nice typeface. One day I hope to have a Typestar and perhaps an AlphaSmart Neo. So far only one old thermal (Brother EP-20) in my collection. I scan all my thermal documents for longevity even though I may not print all of them from the PC.
Perhaps Ted Munk has a Typestar 5 Manual. I think Robert Messenger may have posted on the Typestar also, but I do not remember the model of if it had a manual.
The NEO is a great device. I have one of those also. It’s easy to toss in a backpack and go. The keyboard feels wonderful too. One content is “sent” to an editor, you can continue to use it to work on the text or to add more.
I believe that the 4 and 5 are similar. Some features seem to have been removed, but others are equivalent. I gleaned a lot from Joe,s videos. I haven’t figured out how to right justify a line to put in dates, etc. Any information you could send would be very useful.

DeleteOh, I like that you’ve already figured out how to correct via pen, as correction tape isn’t thermal sensitive.

DeleteThe thing we suspect about the 5 is that it can't right justify. It's missing that feature that both the 4 and 7 do have.
