Man, you are on a real roll with the blog. That's a hilarious story by the way and something I've never witnessed before. I can still recall the really large scooter gang that I saw cruising the streets of Seattle many years ago, almost all of them decked out with gobs of lights and mirrors, just like the the scooters ridden by the Mods in Quadrophenia (including Sting himself). It made for quite the sight. Perhaps the most vicious two-wheeled packs that I've ever been exposed to were the hoards of everyday scooter riders making their way around the streets of Rome when I was there more than 30 years ago. Pedestrians were definitely fair game.
